Posted On 28/05/2021
As time is flying by and we’re heading towards June, we’ve got a bunch of exciting updates and new launches to share. Let’s dive right in!
Cumul.io is now SOC2 Type 1 compliant!
When you’re dealing with a lot of data, it is of the utmost importance that your data is processed with the highest degree of security.
We are proud to announce that Cumul.io is now SOC2 – Type 1 compliant!
SOC 2 is an auditing procedure that ensures your service providers securely manage your data to protect the interests of your organization and the privacy of its clients.
So what does this mean for you? An external auditor has reviewed all our policies & procedures and verified we follow them to the letter. This ensures that your data stored or processed on our platform is secure, that our platform is designed & operated to be highly-available and to ensure the confidentiality of information.
If you have any question regarding this attestation, or want to receive your personal copy of our SOC2 report, feel free to reach out to our team.
A new look for Cumul.io: revamped dashboard editor and website!
For those of you who have been using Cumul.io for a while, you will have noticed the brand-new look and feel of our new Cumul.io dashboard editor this month!
We keep striving to offer you the easiest, slickest interface and make your dashboarding experience fun! The editor has become more compact, with collapsible menus, which makes it cleaner and easier to navigate.
An image says more than a thousand words, so if you haven’t seen the new dashboard editor yet, have a look below or simply log in to your Cumul.io account and give it a try!
⚠️ If you are still using the old version of our dashboard editor, now is the best time to make the switch. We will deprecate the previous editor by the end of June. To switch, simply use the toggle in the Profile Settings in your account.
We felt that this 2.0 launch called for a bigger release. So in addition, we gave our website a complete restyling to visualize our product and what it stands for. To celebrate this release of our new editor, we launched Cumul.io on Product Hunt in order to get feedback from you, and from new users.
We want to absolutely thank you all for your support, as it helped us to rank in the Top 5 Products of the Day!
Add contextual info to your charts with annotations
We added a new functionality to our dashboards: annotations! You can now add a tooltip to any chart type that provides more contextual information about the data presented. You can use it to add notes or context that is important for your end users to correctly interpret the data, for example:
add contextual information to interpret outliers;
add context about the timeframe to which the data applies;
add context about any other circumstances that impact the data;
explain concepts that your user needs to know to interpret the data;
To use the annotations feature, you can simply go to the settings of your chart and enable the ‘Info Tooltip’ in the ‘Annotate’ section. You can also set the position of the tooltip on the left or right.
Feature Highlight: Using Filters in Cumul.io
Any chart, graph or dashboard is so much more powerful when you can use it interactively. In order to make data-driven decisions, your customers or stakeholders will want to interactively filter your dashboard to find the information they need.
In this month’s webinar, our customer success team highlights the filter options in Cumul.io, and how to make the most out of them. Watch the replay below if you want to learn:
When to use which type of filter
How filters filtering each other work
