We say goodbye to the original branding of Cumul.io: our orange-squared logo.
Now is the time for change. Why? Because we’ve grown a lot over the past 4 years, and simply put: our brand needed a fresh touch, so it can continue to grow.
Why our brand needed change
Flashback to 4 years ago. At that time, Karel & Haroen had just started the company and literally spent every spare minute on developing the Cumul.io platform. Soon the question arose: “We’re gonna need a logo before we really start commercializing.”
As goes for all startups, you need to make choices of what to spend your time & budget on. For our 2 founders, the choice was easy: Karel designed a logo himself in merely two hours and they went back straight to their core mission: building the best platform for integrated analytics.
And in short, that’s how our brand’s identity was born. And nope, not just talking about the logo here. This product-first mentality is still at the core of Cumul.io. Our mission is still to remain the fastest, the easiest, the best integrated analytics platform, and we keep putting all our efforts into improving the platform.
Over the past 4 years we’ve been using that same logo, yet Cumul.io has grown a lot since. 15 new colleagues joined the team, we raised our seed investment, and we’ve built a solid customer base in more than 25 countries. Our brand evolved, and it gained awareness and trust worldwide.
We still have that same product-first mentality, but we’re no longer that small early-stage company. And our branding, well… it needs to evolve with us.
So, to say goodbye to that chapter in our book, we needed to say goodbye to our logo. We needed a new branding that breathes trustworthiness, professionalism, but still hints at the essence of our original brand.
Introducing Cumul.io’s new logo & branding
Tadaaaa! 🥳 You may have caught a glimpse already last Friday when logging in to the platform, but as of today, you’ll find our new logo across all of our media.
Our new branding is a slicker, modernized version of the initial one. Just like our platform keeps moving forward every day, our branding is now taking the same direction, starting with our new logo. This modern yet simple touch is a symbol of our product’s constant innovation to make analytics as easy as possible for anyone.
At the same time we stay true to our core identity. To reflect that, we also kept some elements of the old logo to remind us. We’re keeping the recognizable C-shape and a shade of orange to stick with the plug-and-play vibe of our previous logo.
To elaborate, that ‘plug-and-play’ character is one of Cumul.io’s biggest strengths. Our platform is and will always remain low-code: building dashboards without writing a single line of code, and integrating them in the fastest & easiest way possible.
From that angle, you’ll recognize that our new “C” also has the shape of open code brackets </>, which is a reference to our ease of use and low-code platform.
We’re excited about our road ahead. We believe our new logo truly breathes the same ‘us’, just with a more modern touch. We hope you like this new touch, have a quick look in the platform, on the website or on our social media to get a feel of it!
